Attack and some good grub

Just got back from BodyCombat! launch 67
This class kicked my butt ...check it workout I have had in a while

We hit up Trader joes and Sams club after to get the essentials and some food for Jaydun  while I am in Virginia!

Yesterday we went to get THAI food and we both ordered Pad Thai (I got woonsen and Jaydun got the regular)
AMAZING....we both were very satisfied customers....we hit up barnes and noble after until it was time for the movie....The Blind Side.
At the end we both agreed that it is added to our list of movies to buy. That and Avatar!

now the REVIEWS!!!

1st. Just finished a satisfying lunch with a Salmon Burger from Whole Foods

This has been in our freezer for a while now....and I was reading how women need salmon twice a week....So I said OK break it out and at least TRY it.......
Popped it in the oven and DING......AMAZING!
Literally I give it a 10.
The nutrition facts are awesome too...and omegas are in :)

2nd...I got a package in the mail with 3 ATTUNE bars.

The bar has 80 calories and 30% calcium with 5 x the live cultures in yogurt and is a great way to get in probiotics which help digestive health.
Tasted just as good as our dark chocolate chips!
Jaydun and I split the bar and BOTH of us were very impressed.
Another 10!
We also tried the Mint Chocolate flavor this morning and it was a "ditto"
I would recommend this bar to anyone, especially if you are not a big yogurt fan!

Alright I am going to go lie down and digest :)
Might just practice some BodyFlow later to stretch out.....I KNOW I will be sore tomorrow.....which I love.

Got a full 8 hours of sleep!
Last night Jaydun and I were saying how good Vitalicious muffins are!
He tried the Fudgy Peanut Butter Cup
I tried the Deep Chocolate
Both were dessert!  and better yet with vitamins, fiber, and nutricious!

I can't wait to try all of then bran flavors and corn muffins and banana nut!

The high again today is 20! CAN WINTER BE OVER ALREADY?
I need my sunshine, and to be able to go outside to walk!

I am about to head to the gym for BodyPump.....I try to get it in at least 2 times a week.
Tomorrow is Bodyflow.....I love teaching this class....relaxing and satisfying!

Tonight is a date night for some THAI food! I finally get to try a new place that people at work rave about.
Should I get a curry dish or pad thai....HMMM...decisions decisions.

Another review to come and maybe even a giveaway :)

One more thing.....4 days and I get to see my whole family!

Killer moves for women :)

winter over YET?

I need to start a countdown or something.....Spring is right around the corner right?

Jaydun and I were just talking about KALE and how we havent had it in a WHILE! We both have been so busy that at night we have been eating whatever is in the cupboard or freezer! Good to get use out of it, but I need some FRESH stuff! AKA Veggies and fruits and grains and meats......

Tomorrow KALE with some type of beans and brown rice recipe?!?!?!

Vitamins.... essential for every human body, because in reality NOONE gets all of your vitamins through foods.

with that said VITAMUFFINS came today.....VITALICIOUS
I will post pictures tomorrow along with reviews, because I am going to bust the package open and pack one for work :) one for Jaydun too!

BODYFLOW tomorrow...oh man do I miss my flow. I teach everyday except for tomorrow and none of the classes are bodyflow right now! Tonight I taught bootcamp and the other nights I teach Core Conditioning.
I NEED to allow myself time for Flow. It relaxes me and is the one thing that I need for myself.
It calms me and releases any tightness as well!

Any questions on programs for workouts or what type of exercises...ASK! I love helping out!

Until tomorrow...I am about to read Hebrews 3....

Life is a journey...mark out the race set before you....Hebrews 12:1... I smile everytime I read it

Lovin it.

Cleaning and winter

I just got done cleaning the place and have my feet kicked up.
I am just realizing more and more how my mood is effected by the weather! I just talked to people in my fitness classes and they all AGREED!
I think the way to combat it is to set goals out for each week and what you want to accomplish daily and DO IT. No excuses.
Thank God I have to teach sometimes because otherwise I would be laying around in the warm! Needless to say I cannot wait for Spring....
Anyone else get this feeling in the winter ???

I am going to come up with monthly goals from now on (it is easier for me to visualize it if it is on a month to month timeline)
* Write encouraging letters to friends and family
 * Gather healthy recipes with all different food group categories.
  * VISIT BLACKSBURG! To see my family and nieces! Cannot wait!

   * Reach out to people more...have this be in the gym when I am teaching, in a store, on a trail (when the weather warms up!) at church......and so on

**** I am starting the book of Hebrews and cannot get enough of it. I am going to go slowly and journal my thoughts and key notes ****

Stay tuned for my fav verses in Hebrews :)
All Time is Hebrews 12:1 (I think it is how I live life)

I have been very busy with work and then spending time with jayden and his family came to visit. So I kind of went on a break from blogging. Needless to say I AM BACK!

I just got some LightLife products and can't wait to try them out! Pictures to come :)

I am about to practice some BodyFlow...that is if I dont fall asleep before!

one week :)

I usually NEVER take naps.
This weekend was the total opposite. Jaydun and I both days took around a 2 hour nap.
I don't know if it is the winter or no sun or what...but I sure am enjoying these naps!

My parents in laws were here for the weekend and I showed them around downtown Indy and then we gave the tour of our town :) Took them into a Whole Foods and they couldn't believe the Fruits and Veggies (all lined up!) Wish I had the picture they took of us in there!

Yesterday we went to La Peep for Breakfast (couldnt help but get my comfort food oatmeal with fruit). and then to church. BOY DID I NEED THAT...Church was about finances and tithing and how we should look at it as an opportunity to give and trust God with our money and that he will take care of us. So True and kind of comforting in a way.

The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear,{Isaiah 35:5} the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.{Isaiah 61:1-4}"

Reminds me that he will take care of us..and that anything is possible with him.
Daily Devotion :)

Today I am relaxing and makin Turkey Meatballs tongiht. It is one year ago today that we got engaged :)

Mid January...already?

oatmeal, milk and 1 egg with cinnamon and flax!
with some stevia
alongside a Nut Delight bar on the way to work.

Just realized it is mid January already...where does time go?

Tomorrow I am trying a new class called Body Attack. It is right before my core conditioning class that I teach so we will see if this will become a weekly routine or not!
BODYATTACK® is a cardiovascular interval
training programme that combines high intensity aerobics, strength and stabilisation exercises.

Les Mills is the same program that I teach BodyFlow with.

BODYFLOW BODYFLOW™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

I am going to practice the new release of BodyFlow after because we have launch next weekend!
If your gym has bodyflow need to try it! Especially after a good cardio or weight session.

I am about to relax and watch the special at 6:30 with Katie Couric on the Haitie Earthquake.

"Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent"
John 17:3

Week of sun

The sun is finally back! and so am I!
Been hectic around here..but my review on Hot Yoga...
LOVED was not the bikram yoga that so many of you take, it was vinyasa.
It was in a room that was around 95 degrees and I loved the feeling of warm muscles and yoga. I could do all of the poses and sequences with full range of motion and a lil sweat :)

Try it out, although I could see some people hating the heat. I think some days I would not like it, and def need to be in the mood. None the less try out ANY yoga and find the one class you love, it WILL do the body good to relax and stretch, PROMISE.

As for the week, pretty busy with teaching and serving. I am now teaching 3 days a week and serving 3. I love my core conditioning classes and am going to start a cycle class next month as well...uh oh..Guess I gotta get back into cycle shape. Don't forget I take bodypump 2 to 3 times a week. Love me some pump. (you need resistence training to tone those muscles)

With all that said. We watched BRAVEHEART last night.

Favorite movie (my sis and I both)

QUOTE of the Day....

"Every man dies, but not every man LIVES"

How do you want to live your life?

Jaydun said it was one of his new favorite quotes :) I AGREE

Yoga and Flexibility of the key components to fitness!

I will tell you one thing, there is nothing like being able to MOVE and full
range of motion. One of the key things people do not focus on in their
fitness regimen is STRETCHING! My favorite way to get it in is
Bodyflow, yoga, and stretching after a cardio workout. This includes taking
at least 5 to 10 minutes to get all of the major muscle groups
(quads, hammys, hip flexors, IT band, core, back).

Needless to say...I am trying HOT YOGA this afternoon.

Hot Vinyasa has the same inner focus that is the core of yoga, and
the same spiritually uplifting attitude as all our classes, but at about
95 degrees! Hot is good! Sweating is healthy and cleansing. The high
heat also helps us increase flexibility of muscles. We do a nice flow
of basic yoga postures, with a focus on purifying the system, and
increasing flexibility. Unlike our other classes, drinking water at room
temperature is encouraged in this class.
We want to keep the body hydrated, but not cool down our core
temperature, so NO ICE! Also, please bring a beach towel, and of
course your own mat! As you can tell, most of us perspire heavily
in this classes. Please, you must consider yourself "fairly fit" with
normal blood pressure and be near your healthy weight to attend
 the Hot Vinyasa classes.

I am trying to get Jaydun to join.......I guess you will have to wait

for my review to see if he joined!

 NEW delicious breakfast.

Fage 2% (mixed with cinnamon) and spread it on top
of Whole Wheat wrap. Tastes like dessert and very creamy.

If you didn't know..Cinnamon is one of the Super Spices!
The list :
Red Peppers
Tumeric (Curry, Cumin)

MY GOAL : Find a recipe for every spice on here....have any

recipes you like that have a super spice in them?

Snowing and snowing and more

Sorry I have been MIA for a while.

Started my new daytime job waitressing.... at a french place called La Mie Emilie.
Keeps me busy and on my feet all day.
Tuesday I went right to teach core conditioning and last night I drove straight to teach cardio conditioning. I came home BEAT and was a bum the rest of the night!
Woke up to white flurries with the forecast showing snow all day and night! YES!

I will make some stirfry after work maybe? With my new favorite product....
It is delicious with Onions and Garlic. **Great protein and even fiber**

Yesterday I put ground Flaxseed in my oatmeal and it was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Off to venture out in the snow :)

Mission Accomplished

Alarm Clock : 5:00 am
Yes we woke up! Jaydun and I went to the gym in the frigid cold. 10 degrees.
We got in and did 1 mile run; 10 min bike; 5 min actual stair climb; 5 min elliptical
Jaydun lifted upper body and I did some core work and back/side extensions.
It was so nice to come home and brew some coffee and breakfast AFTER a workout.
Now when work is done we can CHILL at home and not have the gym HANGING over our head :)

** Our goal is to do this every morning...we will see how the week goes!**

Just rented Inglorious Bastards for tonight with the free redbox mondays :)

Does anyone live near Indiana. I MISS MOUNTAINS. I want to go on a long hike.....
I guess I will have to settle for yoga and bodyflow for the winter. They are pretty much my go to workout right now...feels so good on the body and mind.

Hebrews 12:1

This is my go to...and I know when it comes to things I want to accomplish...I can do all things through christ who gives me strength.
I really want to pursue my passion with Fitness, Health and Wellness and start up my own company here. I guess I gotta start somewhere and start small.
I met a girl in our community gym last week and just by talking to her she wanted me to start training her. YES...word of mouth is the best way to get clients. I will keep you updated :)

I finally got to meet up with my cousins from Ohio. We met at Perfect North to go snow the freezing cold (17 degrees)
Good thing we got a nice christmas present of North Face gear :)

It was in the middle of nowhere and after we all went out to eat and the only place to go was Perkins....1st time and probably last. The waitress kept saying "thank yous or yas"
I guess she always speaks in plural.
Then we drove the 2 hours back and were exhausted.
Unpacked and watched a movie.

Just got off skype with my sister and niece and I miss them a TON. Thank God for technology. She is already walking and just turned 10 months.

Today we are organizing our closets and getting rid of the old. Then I need to go buy new running shoes (I have been debating whether switching brands or just sticking with my asics nimbus...any suggestions?)

I will probably do some Bodyflow this afternoon as well because my body needs it! A trip to costcos to get some essentials and then back to the work weak.
Good weekend and can't wait for warmer weather already!

My Uncle and Jaydun
